The Hunters of the Cage

Wherever the supernatural cause havoc Hunters have existed to destroy. They are the watchful vigilantes the eyes that you can't see, Humans that have seen to much and experienced the true horrors the night has to offer... then snapped.

The Winston are a family of hunters. It began at  the End of Times where the first suffered at the hands of Vampires reigning havoc on mortal communities. Beasts taking their last pound of flesh before their extinction. Or it is what family's like the Winston preyed for an end to the evil the stalked the everyman. Greg Winston was the last surviving member of his family having hid while he watched his town burn, his family butchered for no reason but to fill the blood lust.  He was 9 at the time. Surviving it was the same old story. Boy grew up, boy dedicated his life to the truth. Man continued his pursuit married and taught his children about the monsters, about the real world out there. So this family spread, grew as did its knowledge. They are not mindless killing machines. They are not complete authorities on what the real truth is, not religious fanatics as God was no where to be seen that night. The Winston's believe in the lesser evils, they see the balance that sometimes this creates. It does not mean they are friendly. They hunt the real threats no some not some weak neonate cornered down the wrong street.

Mickey Winston is a former beat cop. A wage slave who became disillusioned with the ideal of peace and making a difference, raised a true Winston he first rejected the calling that was demanded upon him from his father, Gage. With Corruption at ever turn what little good he was doing was adding to the problem. So he quit and started a bar.  The Cage, a fighting arena for illegal and legal matches on the circuit. Located on the Golden Mile. During his time as a cop he realized it was not just the vampires. It was everyone it was the influence of other kinds on this world and even humans that feed off it. The Cage is his legacy. Mickey uses those who seeks him out for training as a way to make a difference. Hunting and dealing with those that feed off society. Be it supernatural or Human. Evil is evil in his eyes. Still not a religious man he sees the zealots of the Church as just as bad as the rest. Killing for the hell of it is not the way. Sometimes those he should be hunting help in the long run. This is the philosophy he teaches and expects from those that choose to hunt with him.
